Please use a Nano SIM card (12.3x8.8mm) on the 4G router.
Please use an activated SIM card in the router. If you are going to use a new SIM card, please follow the instructions from the mobile carrier to activate the SIM card.
Cautions
Please use an activated SIM card in the router.
Please always turn off the power while inserting or removing the SIM card.
Clean the SIM Card
If the 4G router cannot detect the SIM card or gets the error message "SIM card unavailable," firstly, please verify if the SIM card is inserted correctly. Secondly, please check if the SIM card is clean, especially on the golden contacts. If the SIM card has dust/dirt/oil, you can follow the tips below to clean it.
Wipe the gold SIM card contacts gently with a soft cloth to remove dust or oils.
If unable to clean the specks of dirt, use a soft rubber pencil eraser to clean the gold SIM card contacts and a soft cloth to wipe away any eraser residue.
The old SIM card might have oxidation on the golden contacts. You can use rubbing alcohol to remove oxidation. Dampen one end of a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Gently rub the alcohol against the gold contacts on your SIM card. Continue cleaning the contacts until all of the oxidation is gone.
Step-by-Step
Turn off the power before inserting SIM cards.
Use the included SIM pin to push the pinhole gently until the SIM card holder pops out.
Put the primary SIM card in the first slot. Make sure notch in the inside direction and pins face down. There is only one correct way to settle the Nano SIM card into the SIM card holder.
Carefully reposition the SIM card holder in the slot and push it back gently.
